Pastor's Corner 10-08-08 Let's go out to the Ball Game!
Thus, our youth and children's ministry staff thought it might be fun to show our affection for San Pedro High and for our students who attend it by showing up as a church at one ball game every year. We recommended Friday, October 17, and the Mission Commission endorsed that recommendation just last night. San Pedro will be playing the Carson Colts--a major rival--right here in town, so we'll need to go early in order to get good seats. Those who wish to carpool will meet in the alley here at the church about 5:45 p.m. Those who plan to drive themselves should drop off riders by about 6:15 at the latest and allow at least 15 minutes to park. We'll order our dinner individually from the concession stand and plan to sit together on the 50 yard line. In addition to those who have served San Pedro in the past, remember that Paul Purdy is the band director, Betsy Mantz is a band member, and Karen Miller's son, Corey, is a coach. So, let's go out and cheer (at least one time every year) for these members of our church family and for our local team. I'll see you at the field! Neal
