This is a fun-packed FREE event for the whole family, especially for the younger ones. This is our gift to the entire community as our way of sharing the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord. Eighth Street will be closed between Weymouth and Averill Ave, and filled with tents and booths. The event will be Saturday, March 15th, from 2:00 to 5:30. ![]() Highlights include
SponsorsThe First Presbyterian Church of San Pedro is organizing the event, with support of the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce and the Weymouth Corners Business Association. Contact Erik Larson if you have questions.Last yearThe first Extravanganza was held in 2007 and several hundred people attended. Fun was had by all--except perhaps the live bunnies, who thought the band was much too loud (there is no band this year). There are several pictures in our archive too! To VolunteerLast year several hundred people attended, and we hope to have even more this year. So we need your help in running the activities, as well as setting up and cleaning up. Sue Headley is coordinating the event again, so contact her if there is some way you'd like to help out. Also, we will be selling (cheap) t-shirts for the event; please see Erik Larson to reserve yours today! |
