German born organist Johannes Mueller-Stosch will be our new organist beginning September 2, 2007. He was born in Wittenberg, Germany but received his college education in the US. He comes to us from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY where he finished his doctoral degree. He joins the conducting faculty at Cal State, Long Beach this fall.

In 1997 after winning the coveted Strader Organ Competition in Cincinnati, Ohio, he received two Master of Music degrees in organ performance and orchestral conducting from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music on full-tuition scholarship.

In Rochester he held the position of Music Director and Organist at Twelve Corners Presbyterian Church where he oversaw the renovation of a large 3- manual Casavant Freres organ. Concert tours as soloist and collaborative artist have taken him throughout Germany, Italy, Chile and Japan. Mueller-Stosch has several commercial recordings to his credit. His most recent CD celebrating the renovation of Twelve Corners Presbyterian Church's Casavant Frères organ (Rochester, NY) has been featured on NPR's With Heart and Voice.
